Empire Marketing Board was established in 1926 to promote trade within the Colonies and to encourage British consumers to buy Empire made goods. Some of the best known artists of the period were recruited to design posters that extolled the quality of the products made in the British Colonies. This iconic poster depicts Ceylon’s tea industry.
